ASUS launched its new ZenFone Max smartphone in Singapore today.

The ZenFone Max has a 5.5-inch 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution display (267ppi) and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB RAM. On the rear of the phone, you'll find the same camera module as the ZenFone 2 Laser: a 13-megapixel f/2.0 shooter with laser auto-focus and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, there's a 5-megapixel camera.

The big selling point of the ZenFone Max is its massive battery capacity. Inside, you'll find a 5,000mAh battery, which ASUS says can deliver 37.6 hours of high-clarity calls, up to 32.5 hours of websurfing, and up to 38 days of standby time. In fact, you can even use the phone as a makeshift powerbank and charge other devices with it!

The ZenFone Max will be available to buy in Singapore on 10th March at the IT Show, ASUS brand stores and authorized dealers, Singtel and StarHub for $249.
