ASUS launches ZenFone Zoom in Taiwan, available in 64GB and 128GB variants

The world's thinnest 3X optical zoom smartphone, the ASUS ZenFone Zoom, is finally available for purchase in Taiwan. It comes in two storage configurations: 64GB and 128GB.

Close to 11 months after its announcement at CES 2015, the ASUS ZenFone Zoom finally hits retail shelves in Taiwan. The ZenFone Zoom retails for 13,990 TWD (~S$603) for the 64GB model while the 128GB model costs 15,990 TWD (~S$688).

Here's a quick recap of its specs; the ZenFone Zoom is powered by an Intel Atom processor (Z3580 2.3GHz quad-core for 64GB model, Z3590 2.5GHz quad-core for 128GB model), 4GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Other specs include a 5.5-inch Full-HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, 13-megapixel rear camera with 3X optical zoom, optical image stabilization, PixelMaster 2.0, laser autofocus (as fast as 0.03 seconds), a real-tone LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, microSD expansion up to 128GB, dual-SIM support, NFC and a 3,000mAh battery.
