Archos brings its budget 50 Diamond smartphone and 80b Helium tablet to CES 2015

French company Archos has brought a slew of affordable Android devices to CES 2015, including the 50 Diamond 5-inch smartphone that's powered by a Snapdragon 615 processor, and an 8-inch tablet running a Mediatek MT8732 processor.

Archos is bringing its latest 4G tablets and smartphones to CES 2015, and among them are the new Archos 50 Diamond and 80b Helium.

First announced in Paris in October, the Archos 50 Diamond is a 4G smartphone (supports Cat.4 LTE at 150Mbps) priced under €200. It has an octa-core processor (Snapdragon 615), 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, dual SIM slots, a 16MP camera, and a 5-inch full HD IPS screen. Powered by a 2,700mAh battery, the Archos 50 Diamond runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat and weighs 146g. It’s expected to hit retail in early 2015.

The French company has also introduced the 80b Helium, a budget tablet that costs below €150. It supports 4G LTE connectivity, has an 8-inch, 1,280 x 800-pixel screen, a Mediatek MT8732 processor (quad-core, 1.5GHz), 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, a 2MP rear camera, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

In addition, Archos has said that it’s renewing its Helium range, and the 45b, 50b, and 50c phones and the new 70 and 101 tablets will all be offered at affordable prices.
