Apple's remote work policy not affecting development of new products
Apple is allowing some employees to take home early versions of future devices and software to work on so that their release schedules remain on track.

While there are recent reports that the launch of the iPhone 12 could be delayed, Bloomberg claims otherwise in its latest report on Apple's development on new products.
Sources told Bloomberg that Apple relaxed some of its work-from-home policies and allowed some employees to bring home early versions of future products to continue work during the lockdown period. This is in contrast to the normal practice of allowing select employees to take home nearly complete devices for real world testing.
The respective vice presidents managing the respective employees will give the green light to take the products home. The list of employees working on future products from home is said to be reviewed by Apple's senior vice presidents, which is in turn managed by CEO Tim Cook.
As a result of these new remote work policies, the sources say new versions of the HomePod speaker, Apple TV, MacBook Pro, budget iPads, Apple Watch, iMac and iOS remain on track for launch as early as later this year.
