Amid all the product announcements yesterday, Apple made some changes to the pricing of the iPads and iPhone SE. One other area which had a change is the AppleCare+ warranty package for the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

While the price remains unchanged at S$228, Apple introduced a service fee of S$42 for screen damage on the selected iPhone models. It also charges a flat fee of S$148 for all other damage. Previously, customers had to pay S$148 for any accidental damage including cracked screens.

Screen damages are one of the most common repairs done at service centres and iPhone users would certainly appreciate the more reasonable service fee. The AppleCare+ package extends the warranty coverage of your iPhone by another year (in other words, two years) from the original purchase date.
