Apple will temporarily boost iCloud storage in iOS 15 for backup and transfer
Apple will provide a temporary iCloud storage boost in iOS 15 when users buy new a device and need to transfer data across devices.
Apple is making data transfer between your old iPhone and new iPhone easier in iOS 15.
Even if users are low on iCloud storage, Apple will offer as much storage as they need to complete a temporary backup at no cost, for up to three weeks. This will allow users to backup their apps, data and settings to be transferred to the new device.
This temporary iCloud storage boost will come in handy for users who are on the free 5GB storage tier and make the switching process more convenient.
