Apple could adopt sensor-shift image stabilization technology for the higher-end iPhone models next year.

According to DigiTimes, industry sources claim Apple is equipping some iPhone models next year with the sensor-shift image stabilization technology that move the camera sensor to compensate whenever excessive motion is detected.

The benefit of sensor-shift image stabilization technology is that it can work with any of the lenses on the iPhone including any external lens that the user adds on. This means that we could see image stabilization coming to the ultra-wide lens on the "Pro" models next year.
