Apple is reportedly still considering the type and size of display for the next iPhone SE.

Display analyst Ross Young revealed in a tweet that Apple has not decided whether to continue using LCD or switch to OLED for the next iPhone SE.

With the current lineup of iPhone models using OLED, it would make sense for Apple to use OLED for the next iPhone SE. However, the higher cost of an OLED panel might deter Apple as the iPhone SE is meant to be an entry-level model targeted at budget-conscious consumers.

Apple is also believed to be deciding between two different display sizes from various suppliers: 5.7-inches and 6.1-inches. Young shared earlier this year that Apple could unveil a 5.7-inch iPhone SE model. Tipster Jon Prosser claimed that the next iPhone SE "is just the iPhone XR", which means it is likely to sport a 6.1-inch display. Prosser recently doubled down on his claim and published several purported renders of the iPhone SE.
