Apple is renewing its focus on mobile gaming with a rumoured iOS gaming hub planned for 2025

Sources told 9to5Mac that the new iOS gaming hub will integrate functionality from the App Store and Game Center. That said, the report says it's unlikely the current Game Center feature will be replaced by it, and that this rumoured new hub will integrate with the user's Game Center profile.

The new iOS gaming hub is said to have several tabs such as a "Play Now" tab, which would act as a dedicated tab for the user's games. The "Play Now" tab will reportedly also offer editorial content and game suggestions.

Other rumoured features include challenges, leaderboards, achievements, promotion of special gaming events, and information about key updates. There is also talk of possible integration with FaceTime and iMessage to let gamers communicate with each other.

Earlier this year, there were reports of a reboot for the Apple Arcade as game developers doubt its future over multiple cancelled projects and declining payouts. Perhaps a dedicated iOS gaming hub will get things back on track.
