The Apple iPhone 15 lineup consists of the 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The Apple iPhone 15 lineup consists of the 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max.

If the two latest reports are true, the Apple iPhone 17 lineup could look very different from the current iPhone 15 lineup.

Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu says Apple plans to release the "iPhone 17 Slim" instead of a Plus model in 2025. The "iPhone 17 Slim" is said to have a smaller 6.6-inch display, a thinner design, A18 or A19 chip, 8GB RAM, a 48MP telephoto camera and a 24MP selfie camera.

Unlike the Pro models, the "iPhone 17 Slim" will continue to use an aluminium chassis. Pu claims several other design updates but did not specify them in his investor note.

Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young shared a similar forecast, but differs on the "iPhone 17 Slim" screen size. Young believes the new model will instead have a 6.55-inch display.

In comparison, the iPhone 15 lineup consists of two 6.1-inch models (iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro) and two 6.7-inch models (iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max).

As sales of the Plus models are relatively weaker than those of the other models in the lineup, Apple's strategy of rebranding and giving it a different screen size might boost the device's appeal.
