Based on data provided by Counterpoint Research's Market Pulse, the iPhone XR was the top-selling handset globally in Q3 2019 with a market share of 3%. In fact, it has been the best-selling smartphone globally since Q4 2018.
Counterpoint Research attributes the price adjustments of the iPhone XR in China and other markets as the main driver for sales. The iPhone 11 also made its debut in the top 10 within the launch quarter. The other top 10 best-selling smartphones include the Samsung Galaxy A10, A20, A50, Huawei P30, Oppo A9, A5, A5s and Xiaomi Redmi A7.
