Apple's iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to come with bigger batteries, but how much more? Well, Chinese tipster Instant Digital claims to have battery specs.
Instant Digital recently posted the battery capacities of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models, and it appears their battery capacities will see a bump of between 5% to 9%.
According to Instant Digital, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro will have a 3,577mAh battery – a 9.25% increase over the 3,274mAh battery on the iPhone 15 Pro.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max's battery will see a smaller increase of 5.74% from 4,676mAh on the iPhone 15 Pro Max to 4,422mAh. That's still a lot smaller than most flagship Android phones which typically have 5,000mAh batteries.
A higher mAh battery rate means it can hold more charge which should mean a longer battery life. Coupled with the expected improvement in power efficiency of the A18 chipset, the battery life of the iPhone 16 Pro models could be maintained or longer despite the slightly bigger display and more advanced features.
To "balance and improve the problem of increasing charging time caused by the increase in battery capacity", Apple is expected to increase the wired and MagSafe charging speeds for the iPhone 16 Pro models.
