Wedbush analyst Dan Ives claims to have knowledge of Apple's upcoming iPhone event.

According to Ives, Apple is believed to be holding the iPhone event in the third week of September. As Apple typically holds events on Tuesdays, the likely date is 14 September (15 September, 1am SGT). Judging from previous iPhone events, Apple will start pre-orders for the new iPhones in the same week on Friday (17 September) with retail availability slated for the following Friday (24 September).

Despite the global chip shortage, analyst Ming-Chu Kuo expects no delay in the production and launch of the iPhone 13 this year. This is made possible by TSMC as the chip maker has reportedly prioritised its production to meet demand from Apple and automakers in Q3. Apple is also said to be not increasing the prices of the iPhone 13 models even though component prices have spiked.
