The upcoming iOS 18.2 update may bring a new battery feature for iPhone users.

9to5Mac spotted a new framework titled "BatteryIntelligence" in the code of iOS 18.2 beta 2. The framework enables the iPhone to calculate the amount of time it would take to attain a full charge. The calculation is likely to be based on the amount of power/energy delivered to the iPhone.

There is also an option to trigger a notification on the estimated charging time to reach 80%.The battery feature is disabled and unfinished in iOS 18.2 beta 2, which is a hint that Apple is still working on it. It may arrive with the iOS 18.2 update next month or in a future iOS update.

MacBook users currently have access to a similar feature that shows the estimated amount of time for a full charge via the Battery Menu.
