While Apple has confirmed that it is likely to miss March revenue guidance due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the company is not going to let the virus outbreak affect the production of its future products.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed in his latest research note that Apple is actively looking for multiple lens suppliers for the next generation iPhone lineup. Yujingguang, which is the current exclusive supplier of ultra-wide angle lens for the Apple iPhones, is expected to lose some orders to another supplier. Kuo estimates that Yujingguang has "about one month of inventory" and its capacity utilisation rate is unlikely to improve significantly "until May at the earliest".

As the Covid-19 outbreak is expected to last several months, having multiple suppliers can help Apple reduce its exposure to supply chain disruptions and ensure that there are sufficient components being produced for the new iPhones.
