Apple may launch an updated iPhone 8 model in early 2020.

The Economic Daily reports that Apple is expected to launch a "new iPhone 8" with a 4.7-inch display, A13 chipset, 128GB internal storage space and a single-lens camera on the back. The updated iPhone 8 could be positioned as a mid-tier model.

Apple is also said to be releasing the iPhone XE later this year, which is the purported successor to the three-year-old iPhone SE. It is reportedly equipped with a 4.8-inch OLED display, Face ID and A12 chipset. It remains to be seen how the "new iPhone 8" could fit into the upcoming iPhone lineup.
