Apple, Canon and Samsung dominate usage statistics on the Flickr community
Flickr just released device usage statistics for its community. The results are not surprising; Apple iPhones, Canon and Samsung devices dominate the charts in the past year. Read on to find out more.

As one of the biggest photo-sharing communities in the world, Flickr is in the right position to tell us what are the most widely used camera devices.
Based on the usage statistics over the past year, Flickr shows that 19 different models of Apple devices take the top spot with the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5. Canon snapped up the second position with over 238 models and the top three camera models are the EOS Rebel T3i, EOS 5D Mark III and 5D Mark II.

Samsung clinched the third position with 158 devices and the Galaxy S5, S4 and Note 3 are its most popular devices. Other notable phone brands in the top 10 include Sony (Xperia Z3, Z2 and Z1), HTC (One, M8, Butterfly) and Motorola (Moto G, X, G2).
For the most popular point and shoot cameras, Sony toppled the category with its DSC-RX100 followed by Fujifilm (X100S and X-E1). The NEX-6 and Xperia M2 ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
