Another report suggests that next year's standard iPhone 17 models will be getting 120Hz ProMotion displays – a feature which, thus far, has been exclusive to the Pro models.

ETNews reports that the entire iPhone 17 lineup will use low-power LTPO displays. Although the report did not explicitly state that all models will have ProMotion technology, the use of LTPO displays is necessary for enabling 120Hz displays because it consumes less energy.

Moreover, LTPO displays can enable another feature: always-on displays. This is another feature that's exclusive to the Pro models.

According to the report, both Samsung and LG will supply the LTPO displays for the iPhone models.

In addition, TheElec reported earlier this year that Chinese display maker BOE is receiving assistance from Apple with the development of LTPO displays for use in the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air.
