Analyst predicts $100 price hike for the Apple iPhone 14 Pro

Analyst Dan Ives believes there will be a $100 price increase on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple is believed to be increasing the prices of the iPhone 14 Pro models by $100 according to Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives.

In his latest research note, Ives says the base iPhone model will remain at the same price while the iPhone 14 Pro models are likely to have a $100 price increase. The price hike is due to the spike in component prices and the advanced features on the iPhone 14 Pro models.

The iPhone 14 Pro models are rumoured to come with a new, pill-shaped cutout, A16 chipset, faster RAM, a new 48MP rear camera, a titanium alloy chassis and an always-on display made with higher grade materials.

Ives is not the only analyst who believes a price increase is coming to the iPhone 14 Pro models. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims the average selling price of the iPhone 14 lineup will increase by about 15% and there are likely to be price increases for the iPhone 14 Pro models.
