Samsung's Project Zero for the Galaxy S6 smartphone may not be as ground-breaking as reports have claimed it to be if leaked photos of the alleged device turn out to be authentic.

News site Toranji.ir published two photos of the alleged Galaxy S6 smartphone, one of which shows it fully assembled and running. The other photo reveals the three colors of the Galaxy S6 which are white, black and possibly bronze gold.

Aside from the slightly bigger display, metallic design, Android 5.0 Lollipop-inspired notifications and new Samsung-styled wallpaper, the design of the Galaxy S6 does not seem to deviate much from its predecessors. Earlier this month, leaked benchmark scores revealed some of its specs which include a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display, a 64-bit, octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and a 20-megapixel rear camera.

If true, the Galaxy S6 may not be able to help Samsung get back into the game given the intense competition in the smartphone market. The lack of a major design overhaul in the Galaxy S5 was cited as a major reason for its poor reception which contributed to Samsung's profits plunging 71% in Q3.
