Adobe’s new Photoshop app for the iPhone will give users access to Photoshop’s core imaging and design tools like layering and masking to design and edit their visuals. The app is available on the App Store today with the Android version coming soon.

The company says that the app was purpose-built for phones with an intuitive mobile-friendly interface to be accessible, that everyone can download and use for free. Adobe claims users can edit all their images in one app and easily, “Add new objects, make targeted adjustments, replace backgrounds and remove unwanted elements.”

For people who already use Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco, and Adobe Lightroom on their computers, web, and iPads, the new app allows them to make edits anywhere and work across devices. A new “Photoshop Mobile & Web” plan, is available via the App Store and will give users access to premium mobile features and Photoshop on the web. We asked Adobe about the monthly and annual costs and were told that it would be S$9.98 per month and around S$87 annually.

Adobe says that all current Photoshop paid plans include access to Photoshop on iPad and Photoshop on the web, available on Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, and will now also include access to Photoshop on mobile.

While this looks like a popular decision and something that has been a long time coming, there are other alternatives out there like Google Snapseed which is available on both iPhone and Android devices and is free.
