10 Million Galaxy S II Units Sold Worldwide

The Galaxy S II smartphone has sold 10 million units worldwide making it one of the most popular and most commonly used mobile device.

Samsung has just released figures which show that the Galaxy S II has sold 10 million units worldwide. The smartphone was released in April. What makes the numbers more impressive is the fact that by the end of July only 5 millions units had been sold. This number has effectively been doubled in the past two months.

However when compared to the iPhone, the numbers are dwarfed since the Apple product sold 20 million units in Q2 alone. And seeing that rumors point to a 4th October 2011 release for the iPhone 5, Samsung better make hay while the sun shines.
