Samsung floods the entry-level market with Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A17, and Galaxy A07
It’s not enough for Samsung to hold a seat in the flagship space. Here are the three latest Galaxy A devices to whet your entry-level appetite.

Samsung Singapore has brought in its latest entry-level smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A17, and Galaxy A07.
Samsung Galaxy A versus Galaxy S
Samsung’s Galaxy A-series range houses its entry-level to mid-range phones, with larger model numbers representing its better counterparts. For example, a higher-end, 2025 Galaxy A phone is the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G (review here). Any higher, and you’re looking at the start of the flagship-tier Galaxy S lineup, which begins with its flagship-lite model (e.g., the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE for 2025).
With that understanding, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G, A17, and A07 launched here are affordable Samsung handsets for Singapore users who need only the essential bits, while keeping to a wallet-friendly outlay.
Samsung Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy A17
Samsung Galaxy A17 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy A17 devices for Singapore were announced on the evening of 2 September 2025.
Without needing to pay top dollar for either device, they still come with Gemini Live via the side power button, letting users ask Google’s AI and conduct online searches with words and via their cameras.
Circle To Search is also available, allowing users to perform visual searches on Google by simply marking out parts of photos or videos they want to find.
The two models only have a few key differences. The Galaxy A17 5G can connect to 5G networks and carries an Exynos 1330 processor, while the Galaxy A17 has up to LTE/4G connectivity and packs in a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset.
In every other way, they are similar. On both models, you can expect a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate, a triple rear camera array (50MP main, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro), 8GB of RAM, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging, and the Samsung One UI 7 user interface (based on Android 15).
Choosing between a Galaxy A17 5G or a Galaxy A17 depends on whether you will be on a 5G mobile plan.
A key perk of these Galaxy A17 series phones is the expandable storage, up to 2TB via MicroSD card.
Samsung Galaxy A07 LTE
Samsung Galaxy A07
Samsung Galaxy A07 is the less AI-capable alternative, but it still packs all the essential features you need in a modern phone.
We say that because it also comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel (FHD+ resolution) and 90Hz refresh rate. It has dual rear cameras (50MP main and 2MP macro) that makes it easier to take normal and close-up shots.
It also features a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and 128GB storage, similar to its other two Galaxy A siblings, but offers 4GB of RAM instead of the 8GB found in the other two models.
It also packs in a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging, the One UI 7 interface, and the same Samsung Knox and Theft Protection privacy features.
In essence, you get half the RAM, and minus one camera on the rear, but save even more since it still keeps all the important bits.
