Following a report claiming OnePlus plans to exit some markets this year, the company has dismissed the claims as inaccurate.

OnePlus India CEO Robin Liu shared on X that the company is “operating as usual and will continue to do so”. He urged “all stakeholders to verify information from official sources before sharing unsubstantiated claims”.

OnePlus North America also issued a statement to Android Authority, reassuring customers that it “continues to operate” and remains committed to after-sales support, software updates, and rights commitments.”

A pull-back from the smartphone market would be surprising, particularly given OnePlus’ strategic partnership with OPPO, which was announced in December 2022. Under the “dual-brand” strategy, OPPO committed $1.43 billion in investment over three years to position OnePlus as its pioneer flagship smartphone brand.
