Some users have reported static noises coming from the speakers of their iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max while charging.

User reports began surfacing as early as late September on the Apple Support Community, shortly after the iPhone 17 lineup launch. The noise is described as faint, with a buzzing or hissing quality, similar to the sound from an old radio.

Users also shared that the static speaker noise can be heard across all charger types, including Apple’s own chargers and MagSafe, although some noted that the noise is less pronounced when using MagSafe.

One user claimed to have contacted an Apple senior support engineer, who reportedly confirmed that Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a software update.

Apple has also reportedly conducted a full hardware diagnostics and found no hardware faults. In some cases, devices were replaced, but the problem persisted on the replacement units.

For now, affected users will have to sit tight and wait while Apple works on a fix.
