Realme officially launched the latest phone of its Pro series, the Realme 7 Pro, an entry-level smartphone with mid-range features. This comes just seven months after the 6 Pro series launched. Just like the Realme 6 Pro, it utilises the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chip.
Besides the mid-range 720G chipset by Qualcomm, the Realme 7 Pro retailing in Singapore packs 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage onboard. It comes in Mirror Blue (as seen here) and Mirror Silver variants.
The Realme 7 Pro sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen (2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, a pixel density of 409 PPI), with 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. The display also has an in-display fingerprint sensor as its biometrics option.
The phone weighs 182g and has TÜV Rheinland-certified smartphone durability. On the topic of durability, do note that the device has no water and dust resistance certification, which is to be expected of this tier of phones.
The Realme 7 Pro's imaging subsystem consists of a quad rear camera set-up: a 64MP main camera (serviced by a Sony IMX682 sensor), 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP B&W lens. The main lens is has a Quad Bayer array for pixel binning, which helps output higher quality images with excellent dynamic range and rich imaging details, albeit at a lower resolution. It offers up to 10x zoom, and several software enhancements to enable photography modes like new Night Filters, Ultra Nightscape Video, and more.
The front-facing camera is a single 32MP lens located in the single punch-hole housing (or pinhole) on the top left-handed corner of the display.
On another note, according to the spec sheet on Realme Singapore's website, the models here will come with NFC as well, which is a nice touch given that not many mid-range smartphones have it. Most importantly, you get to utilise contactless payment options with the phone via Android Pay.
The Realme 7 Pro supports 65W SuperDart Fast Charging, which allows complete charging of the phone's 4,500mAh battery in just 34 minutes, according to Realme. It charges through a USB-C port. The phone is also compatible with 30W Dart Charge, 18W QuickCharge, and Power Delivery protocols.
The Realme 7 Pro retails at S$499 (8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage) from 14 November 2020 onwards at StarHub, authorised resellers, and official Realme platforms on Lazada and Shopee. Interested buyers can pre-order via Shopee from 4 November until 13 November to receive various cashback rewards, and a Realme Watch pre-order gift (worth S$149).
