In pictures: The very familiar-looking ASUS ZenFone 5
The ASUS ZenFone 5 is ASUS' latest flagship smartphone and, let's just say, it bears more than a passing resemblance to another phone.
No, this isn't the iPhone X, it's actually the ASUS ZenFone 5. The phone has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio IPS LCD display with 500 nits brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and 96% NTSC color gamut coverage.
The notch in the display isn't as wide as the notch in the iPhone X's display, but it is a bit taller. The notch holds the front camera and speaker.
Even the back of the phone looks like the iPhone X, thanks to a vertically oriented dual rear camera module. Unlike the iPhone X, the ZenFone 5 also has a fingerprint scanner back here. While the back of the ZenFone 5 is glass, it does not support wireless charging. It also lacks any IP dust and water resistance.
The rear camera setup pairs a 12-megapixel f/1.8 lens with OIS with a secondary 8-megapixel f/2.2 120-degree wide angle lens.
At the bottom of the ZenFone 5 is a USB Type-C port, a speaker port, and yes, a 3.5mm headphone port.
The power button and volume rocker can both be found on the right side. On the left side there's a combination Nano SIM + Micro SD card slot.
