Have you already pre-ordered or purchased the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 from Samsung yet? We hope you’ve started saving up for Samsung’s next big thing: a tri-fold smartphone, coming this year.

Samsung held its Q2 earnings call on July 31, 2025 and promptly uploaded the recording and slides to its investor relations portal. As spotted by Android Authority, the call mentioned several huge updates that are coming for the second half of 2025 (H2 2025).

Notably, the Koreans are looking to launch the Galaxy S25 FE earlier than its usual cadence, and they’re planning to launch a tri-fold smartphone this year.

From the 31:25 mark of the earnings call until the 38th-minute mark, Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung’s MX division, said the following about H2 of 2025:

“The premium segment is projected to grow modestly, driven by shifting consumer preferences towards higher-end products, in part due to economic growth in emerging markets…

“...We will continue our flagship-first approach in the second half, and we are confident in the strong market reception of our newly-launched seventh-generation foldable products, which feature significant advancements in performance, design, and durability…

“... For the Galaxy S25 series, we’ll focus on maintaining sales momentum with seasonal promotions, as well as an earlier launch of the S25 FE.”

“... Meanwhile, we’re also preparing to introduce next-generation, innovative products, including our XR headset and tri-fold smartphone, this year.”

For reference, Samsung’s pre-orders of the Galaxy S24 FE in Singapore started on 27 September 2024, which means the Galaxy S25 FE is going to launch anytime before that timeframe.
