Samsung Galaxy S25 series users will get One UI 8 in September
Older Galaxy models will get it too, but they will have to go through a beta-testing period first.

Samsung just announced that its older Galaxy mobile devices are eligible for a future One UI 8 update, but they’ll have to test it out more via betas before pushing out the public-ready software later this year.
As seen on Samsung’s official newsroom, it has shared its beta rollout plans, with dates and regions included.
Come next week (as of writing), Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 will have access to One UI 8 beta, if the users are based in Korea, U.S., U.K., and India.
In September 2025, the beta extends to device users of the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54.
For these users, they can get access to One UI 8’s beta within the Samsung Members app (registration required).
Finally, Samsung said it will roll out the official version of One UI 8 in September for Galaxy S25 series devices. The company said this update will also include feedback from beta testers of the operating system.
One UI 8 was launched alongside Samsung’s new foldables, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. Core features include an improved Now Brief and Now Bar, alongside mini-upgrades to its older AI-based features like a better Audio Eraser. We’ve gone through a few of these tools in our previous review.
