Four years after introducing the feature in iOS 15, Apple is finally bringing Detailed City Experience to Singapore – the first in Southeast Asia and just in time for National Day.
Available in Apple Maps starting today, Apple says there are richer details for road markings, land cover, trees, public transit routes, and more. There are also helpful navigation details like turn lanes, medians, buses, and crosswalks offered by Detailed City Experience.
Apple Maps users in Singapore can also see custom-designed 3D landmarks for iconic Singapore landmarks and locations such as Gardens by the Bay, Apple Marina Bay Sands, Victoria Theatre, and Victoria Concert Hall. Detailed City Experience also supports night mode, offering a moonlit glow that activates at dusk.
Furthermore, there is a Windshield View for drivers that shows a road-level view when approaching complex interchanges, making it easier for drivers to see upcoming traffic conditions or the best lane for an upcoming exit.
Detailed City Experience in Apple Maps is currently available in 32 other cities and countries, including Sweden, Vancouver, Paris, Spain, London, Hamburg and New York.
