The successor to the Apple iPhone 16E is tipped to bring three key upgrades.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the iPhone 17E will feature a refreshed industrial design. Although it is unclear what this new design will look like, a good guess is that the iPhone 17E will likely adopt the design of the iPhone 15 – since the iPhone 16E’s design was based on the iPhone 14.

The second rumoured upgrade is the Dynamic Island. If accurate, this would mark a significant shift, as the iPhone 16E uses a notch. First introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models, Dynamic Island blends the TrueDepth camera cutout into a pill-shaped interactive area that displays status indicators and widgets.

The third upgrade is more or less expected, and that’s the A19 chip, which is also expected to power the upcoming iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro.

Beyond these key upgrades, the iPhone 17E is expected to retain similar specifications, including the 6.1-inch OLED display, 48MP rear camera, and 12MP selfie camera. It is reportedly slated for an early 2026 launch, as part of Apple’s annual refresh cycle for this model.
