M1X-powered MacBook Pros are still on track to launch later this month.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the M1X chips is "still on tap for 2021" and will debut alongside the new MacBook Pro models sometime "in the next month". The new MacBook Pros are believed to sport 14-inch and 16-inch displays. A higher-end Mac mini with the M1X chipset will be announced "at some point".

Gurman claims there are two versions of the M1X chipset; one will come with 16 graphics cores and the other will have 32 graphics cores. The two versions will feature a 10-core design with 8 high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores.

Looking ahead, Gurman says Apple is developing "higher-performance chips for a new Mac Pro" including an "M2 for future MacBook Airs, iMacs and low-end MacBook Pros".
