Xiaomi now has two online stores on Shopee and they are both official

Talk about eating our own words.

Previously, we wondered how Xiaomi would live up to its commitment to Singaporeans during the launch of its online direct website and its first-ever self-managed outlet in Funan.

In short order, Xiaomi proceeded to revamp two key outlets at Suntec and JEM, followed by another five across heartland estates.

Now, the brand has also announced the launch of a new City Square Mall outlet and an additional official store on Shopee. That’s two official Xiaomi stores on one e-commerce platform, and a total of nine revamped retail outlets.

Xiaomi store at City Square Mall

The Xiaomi Store at City Square Mall (located above Farrer Park MRT station) will feature a clean, MUJI-like aesthetic and layout, with themed sections for smartphones, tablets, smart living, and smart home products.

Its official opening weekend is scheduled for 5 and 6 July 2025, during which Xiaomi will run a series of promotions to celebrate the grand opening. The brand announced that it will offer discounts of up to 50%.

Participants of Xiaomi POP Run 2025 in Singapore can also collect race kits from the new City Square Mall outlet. An additional, exclusive gift awaits them if they choose to buy a Xiaomi Smart Band 10 while showing their participation email.

Shopee launch? Doesn’t Xiaomi already have one all along?

With the new online store launch on Shopee’s platform, keen-eyed shoppers would notice there’s now two of such Xiaomi stores on one app/website. Here’s what’s going on.

The Xiaomi Authorised Store on Shopee (shopee.sg/xiaomiofficial) is operated by the official distributor, which has been in operation for over five years. It took over an even earlier version of an official Xiaomi Shopee store, which is now long gone.

The new launch, Xiaomi Official Store on Shopee (shopee.sg/xiaomilocalofficialstore), is operated directly by Xiaomi. This store page was created in May 2025.

As the authorised distributor store has been around for far longer, it naturally has more products listed (approximately 350). The new, self-managed Shopee store features approximately 200 products, which will likely align with the official distributor’s variety over time.

According to Xiaomi’s official press statement, the new Xiaomi Official Store has “enhanced logistics arrangements”, which might result in faster turnaround time. Customers can expect faster delivery of their purchases.

Either way, the money still goes to Xiaomi, and the item that reaches you is also an official Xiaomi gadget or appliance.

Promotions!

No launch is complete without celebration, and Xiaomi celebrates by doing what they do best: promotions. Its Shopee platforms, Xiaomi Official Store and Poco Official Store, will feature deals similar to the launch promotions at the City Square Mall outlet.

The promo devices featured in the image (Xiaomi Mix Flip, Redmi Pad SE, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E10) will appear in the Shopee platform on 7 and 8 July, alongside the other promos below.
