Samsung has today launched The Frame, a 4K UHD TV designed to look like a picture frame hanging on the wall.
Available in 55 and 65-inch screen sizes, The Frame can be fitted with different frames to blend in with its surroundings. Three different colored bezel options (walnut, beige wood, and white) are available, as well as an optional Studio Stand if you prefer the art on easel look. By default, the TV has black bezels.
To create the picture frame look convincingly, The Frame features an Art Mode and comes with more than a hundred professionally-curated art pieces that span various genres. Users can also use images from their personal photo libraries, adjust background colors, and tweak the image layouts. There's also an onboard brightness sensor to ensure that the TV adjusts to the ambient lighting.
Similar to the Samsung QLED TV series that was launched earlier this year, The Frame features Samsung’s no-gap wall mount and Invisible Connection (both included in-box) to allow the TV to be mounted on the wall just like a picture frame. The Frame also comes with the One Connect Box, which acts as a hub for all connecting wires so that you don't need to deal with messy cables.
From now to September 3, Samsung is giving away a free set of customizable frames with every purchase of The Frame. The company is also collaborating with Canon to hold a special session for the latter’s launch of the EOS 6D Mark II DSLR. Happening on August 5 and 6 at the Courts Megastore (50 Tampines North Drive 2, Singapore 528766), shoppers get to enjoy a weekend of excitement as they experience Framing Stories through Pictures by established photographers.
