Apple is all set to unveil its new music streaming service next week at WWDC 2015, but it may have to postpone the launch of the highly anticipated subscription TV service.

According to Re/code, several sources with knowledge of the situation claim that the subscription TV service has to be postponed as Apple could not finalize the licensing deals. Technology and money issues are cited as key hurdles that Apple has not overcome.

The Cupertino-based company apparently wanted to launch the TV service in time for the start of the new broadcast TV season, but lengthy negotiations over financial terms and technology requirements for broadcasters to deliver the local programming ultimately led to the delay.

Although the subscription TV service is now expected to launch later this year or in 2016, Apple is likely to introduce a new remote alongside a new version of its Apple TV set-up box.
