Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently admitted that the biggest and most pressing challenge for him is to adapt Facebook for mobile devices. He also concedes that bringing Facebook's features to mobile devices is tricky because the user experience is so different.
To this end, Facebook recently acquired the team at mobile social book marking site, Spool. According to reports, Facebook isn't interested in acquiring the product as Spool will shut down its service, but instead, they are interested in the team itself. With the deal, Facebook hopes Spool will bring its "mobile software development expertise" to Facebook.
Along with its acquisition of Instagram, it is clear that Facebook is attempting to bolster itself on the mobile front. The company is under pressure for getting more revenue from mobile advertising and concerns about slowing growth has driven Facebook shares to 19% since they began trading in May.
