Revolut users in Singapore can now buy global data roaming eSIM plans directly in-app

First launched in Europe and the UK, Revolut has just expanded their data roaming eSIM services to four new countries: Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. With this launch, Revolut claims to be the first fintech app in Singapore to feature both financial and connectivity services. In 2024 alone, Revolut users redeemed over 3 million GB of data globally through its eSIM feature, reflecting strong demand for this innovative solution.

This new feature will allow Revolut Singapore customers access to cost-effective data plans in over 100 countries, with subscription, activation, and data top-ups all done within the Revolut app. While eSIM services are now quite commonplace (you can check out some of our guides for Europe, SEA, and Asia), Revolut's new offering means that you need to install one less app and sign up for one less service.

Raymond Ng, CEO of Revolut Singapore, highlighted the convenience and cost-efficiency of the eSIM, calling it a "game-changer" for global travelers. He emphasized its ability to simplify mobile connectivity, allowing users to secure data plans and stay connected effortlessly while abroad.

The service is powered in collaboration with 1GLOBAL, a telecommunications provider that offers secure mobile network access in over 160 countries. Hakan Koç, CEO of 1GLOBAL, praised the partnership, noting how the eSIM technology integrates smoothly with the Revolut app for instant activation.

Revolut eSIM data plans start at S$1.50 per 1GB, with options ranging from 1GB to 100GB. Customers can choose between country, region, or global plans.
