Microsoft and Dropbox join forces

It seems Microsoft is serious about cloud storage. With Office 365 users being able to access and save their files from Box without even having to leave the Office desktop application, Microsoft has now teamed up with Dropbox to provide better support for Microsoft Office suite.

To put it in a nutshell, this partnership will allow users to edit Office documents from within the Dropbox app and sync them across devices, as well as also allow users to access and edit Dropbox documents from within Office mobile apps. It gets better if you own an iPad, as Office for iPad is expected to allow Dropbox users to link their account to the Word, Excel and PowerPoint iPad apps within a few weeks.
