LG rumoured to release AR glasses in 2021

LG is said to be venturing into AR glasses as early as 2021. 

Industry sources told ETNews that LG is currently working with NTT Docomo on a pair of AR glasses. LG is reportedly interested in AR glasses since 2018 and its chief technology officer is believed to be leading the company's efforts in developing them. The AR glasses are expected to be very light at less than 80g. 

Apple is also rumoured to be working on AR glasses and an AR/VR headset. The AR glasses, likely to be called Apple Glasses, could be launched in late 2021 or early 2022. The AR/VR headset is recently reported to be in trial production.
