Dyson's latest robot vacuum, the 360 Vis Nav, has officially landed in Singapore. Enthusiasts and fans of smart home devices can now purchase it through Dyson.com.sg and at local Dyson Demo Stores.
Priced at S$1,999, it stands out as one of the pricier robot vacuum models in the market. However, the vacuum is equipped with several advanced features that may explain its premium pricing.
A review of the machine is in the works but here's a quick highlight of the robot vacuum:
- SLAM technology: The Dyson 360 Vis Nav is embedded with the company's Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) technology, providing it with a 360-degree vision system. This helps the vacuum to not only recall areas it has cleaned but also to detect and respond to dust particles in real-time.
- Home team: The creation of this vacuum also involved engineers from Dyson Singapore's campus.
- Advanced vision system: Its fisheye lens allows for a panoramic view, enabling the robot to accurately interpret its surroundings.
- A new Hyperdymium: The vacuum comes with a Dyson Hyperdymium motor, boasting a spin of up to 110,000rpm. According to Dyson, this delivers suction strength six times more than most robot vacuums. Combined with Dyson’s new triple-action brush bar, it promises cleaning efficacy across various floor types.
- Edge-to-Edge cleaning: Its full-width brush bar and side edge actuator ensure efficient dust pick-up even at room edges. The wall-follow sensors also enable the vacuum to closely track the perimeters of a room.
- MyDyson App integration: Users can connect the 360 Vis Nav to the MyDyson app, where they can set zones, customise cleaning routes, and schedule cleaning sessions.
- Adaptive design: Thanks to its dual link suspension system, the vacuum can climb surfaces up to 21mm. With a relatively low profile, it can slide under furniture pieces that are at least 99mm off the ground, offering cleaning even in tight spots.
