Adobe Scan, an app that extracts documents out of images, has been downloaded over 4 million times since its launch in June.

What Adobe Scan does is extracts text from pictures of documents that you have taken, e.g. your bills, letters, etc. and saves them as PDF documents. You can also take pictures of business cards and receipts and Adobe Scan is able to get the text information out of the photo, cleaning them up by removing shadows and folds. All this is done with the help of the Adobe Sensei artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology.

If you are also a Document Cloud subscriber, then you’ll also get some extra features like editing and organizing your documents, as well as collecting signatures using Adobe Sign.
