If you’re new to action cameras and are looking to start somewhere, the ViDi Action Camera is a possible option at a very attainable price of S$179.

The ViDi Action Camera is simple to use and simpler to understand. It shoots in Full HD (1080p) at 30 frames per second, using a 12-megapixel camera aided by a CMOS sensor. It comes with a 140-degree, wide angle fish eye lens, and the camera has 4x digital zoom, too. Videos are recorded in MOV, DSP and MP4 formats.

In essence, the ViDi Action Camera is pretty much a camera inspired by the GoPro, but it is targeted at users who want to record simpler footage, such as holiday moments. It comes with both camera and video modes, and they include loop-recording, time-lapse, delay timer, and HDR modes.

This action camera is ready to use right out of the box, and it come with a waterproof case, an extension pole for selfies, a 4GB microSD card, and a USB cable for charging and file transfers. You can make all the changes in the settings on the ViDi Action Camera itself, so there’s no need to connect it to any smartphone. The best part of the ViDi is its lightweight body, as it weighs a mere 57g. The downside would be its tiny 700mAh battery capacity that allows a maximum of 90 recording minutes before you need to charge the device.

This camera was successfully crowd-funded on Kickstarter within the day of its campaign launch. It is now available on Lazada and in major electronic stores. It is distributed via TC Acoustic Pte. Ltd., and they can be found on the first floor of The Adelphi (opposite of Funan).
