Nikon launches the Z6III, the 3rd-gen of its mid-range full-frame mirrorless camera

The Nikon Z6III will be available in Singapore, starting at S$3,899 for the body only.

The rumour mills have been proven right and Nikon fans can rejoice! The Nikon Z6III is finally here after an almost four year wait.

As its name implies, it is the third generation of Nikon’s Z6 mid-range full-frame mirrorless camera. The Z6III is packed with the world’s first “partially-stacked CMOS sensor” that offers 3.5x faster readouts than its predecessor Z6II. As such, with pre-release capture, this 24-megapixel full-frame image sensor is able to shoot up to 60fps (frames per second) in full frame JPEG and up to 120fps in APS-C cropped JPEG.

For video enthusiasts, the Z6III is able to support video recording in full-HD/240p for up to 10x slow-motion, 8-bit 4K Ultra HD/60p, 12-bit ProRes RAW HQ and N-Raw formats (up to 6K resolution) as well as 10-bit H.265 for flexibility in both speed and colour grading.

With Nikon’s latest Expeed 7 image processor, the Z6III is able to preserve intricate textures in photos shot and allows for stunning low-light photos at up to ISO 64000.

The body of Z6III has been improved too, and is made up of carbon fibre and magnesium alloy to lower the body's weight without compromising on durability. It also comes with weather sealing for ruggedness and weather resistance. At the back of the body lies the new 3.2-inch rear touchscreen display or the high-resolution 5.76-million-dot electronic viewfinder.

Not to mention, with almost the same dials and button layouts as the Z8, Nikon fans will find themselves to be like fish in water when using the Z6III. Furthermore, it comes with dual card slots for CFexpress/XQD and SD, so you can have more storage or store JPEG and RAW files in different cards.

The Nikon Z6III will be available in Singapore at the end of this month (June 2024) starting at S$3,899 (body only). The Z6III will cost you S$4,799 if you purchase it with the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens. If you want a fast lens with longer focal length range, you can get the Z6III with the Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S lens at S$5,299.
