GoPro targets the entry, mid and premium segments with three Hero 7 cameras
GoPro's new Hero 7 lineup comes in three different colors and have different features to appeal to different market segments.
GoPro just announced a trio of new action cameras: the Hero 7 Black, the Hero 7 Silver and the Hero 7 White.
The Hero 7 Black is the flagship model with a 12MP sensor capable of shooting 4K videos at 60fps, 2.7K videos at 120fps and 1080p videos at 240fps. It also sports HyperSmooth digital image stabilization, which is a gimbal-like stabilization that compensates for camera shake.
Other exclusive features include a removable battery, 8x slow-mo, live streaming support, compatibility with the Karma drone, 3-mic processing with pro 3.5mm mic adapter and HDMI video output.
The Hero 7 Silver has a 10MP sensor capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps, but lacks the HyperSmooth digital image stabilization feature. Like the Hero 7 Black, it also has GPS. The battery is non-removable.
The Hero 7 White is the entry-level model with a 10MP sensor which lacks 4K video support. It captures 1080p videos at 60fps, 2-mic processing, no GPS.
All three Hero 7 models are waterproof up to 10m without a housing, have a 2-inch touchscreen display, GoPro Voice Control, support for time-lapse videos and QuikStories feature. They are available for pre-order at the following prices:
