GoPro’s new cameras, Fusion and Hero6, capture pro spherical video and 4K/60p video

GoPro has just announced two cameras, the Fusion, which shoots 5.2K/30p and 3K/60p spherical video, and the Hero6, which shoots 4K/60p video with improved dynamic range and 1080/240p slow motion video.

The Fusion also shoots 18MP spherical stills, with “gimbal-like stabilization” without a gimbal, voice commands, and a feature called ‘OverCapture’ that can create traditional non-spherical video from spherical footage (see how it looks like in the video below).

The Fusion is waterproof to 5m, and comes with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It’s listed as S$1,050 on GoPro’s website and GoPro says it will be available in November.

The Hero6 comes with a more powerful, custom-designed GP1 processor, improved digital image stabilization, and better low light performance. Besides the increased frame rates for both 4K and Full-HD, the Hero6 also shoots 12MP photos.

The Hero6 is waterproof up to 10m, and comes with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as GPS, accelerometer and gyroscope sensors.

The Hero6 Black is available now for S$750.
