A GoPro leak in Canada revealed the action camera’s key features and specifications. According to a tip-off sent to The Verge, the new GoPro Hero 6 will be able to shoot slow motion in Full HD resolution (1080p) at 240 frames per second (fps), and also shoot 4K videos at 60fps.

For reference, the preceding GoPro Hero5 Black can shoot at 4K resolution (3,480 x 2,160 pixels resolution) as well, but only at a maximum of 30 fps – half of what’s offered with its successor.

The slow-motion feature records ten times of 24fps (an industry standard for motion footage); this would infer that the GoPro Hero 6’s slow-motion feature can slow the footage down to 10 times of the original Full HD video recording.

Other leaked information includes its U.S. retail price (US$499), and the images of the product box, courtesy of the tipster.
