We take a quick look at two of Canon's latest APS-C cameras - the EOS 77D and EOS 800D.
The EOS 800D is the latest entry-level DSLR camera from Canon. It features a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor with a DIGIC 7 processor. It measures 131.0 x 99.9 x 76.2 cm while weighing just 485g.
To aid beginners, the EOS 800D features helpful on-screen guides to show you what each mode does.
There’s a familiar layout to the controls, and the On/Off switch can also be used to activate movie recording mode, just like with the EOS 760D.
The EOS 800D also gains a new video shake reduction mode, which reduces motion blur due to handshake but crops into the image slightly.
On the other hand, the EOS 77D slots just between the EOS 80D and the EOS 70D. It also features a 24.2MP APS-C sensor and DIGIC 7 engine, but weighs slightly more at 493g. It too measures 131.0 x 99.9 x 76.2mm.
The biggest difference between the two DSLRs lies in the top info panel. Here on the EOS 77D, you can easily see your current aperture and shutter settings.
