With all the new advancements in smart home technology, pretty soon we'll be telling our refridgerators to create shopping lists for us based on its current inventory.
Actually, why wait? Samsung's new line of Family Hub Smart Fridges can already do that. The three refridgerator models (which we'll call the RS62, RS64 and RF56) are the latest addition to the company's roster of smart living appliances, and includes everything from custom meal planning (for the whole week, no less!), to tailored shopping lists, and it can even play music for you while you whip up dinner for your folks.
It's all done via the Family Hub, a 21.5" touchscreen bulletin board on the fridge door, and the prime difference between the RS62 and RS64 is the inclusion of a water dispenser on the left side of the latter as shown below. Using the Family Board function, you can input various commands the conventional way, that is, by pressing, or you could link it up with your Samsung TV and mobile devices using Smart View, which will let it mirror content from said platforms. This way, you can share your favourite photos, take calls, create notes (aided by the handy Calendar app) and even pin webpages that you find interesting, on top of a medley of other interactive functions.

Essentially, the Family Hub is sort of an all-in-one remote control interface for the rest of your smart home ecosystem, including but not limited to your QuickDrive washing machine and e-vacuum cleaners like the POWERbot - in fact, from now till 16 September, purchasing any appliance from the Family Hub range will net you a free set of the latter too.
