Anti-tangle brushes, auto lifting to avoid thresholds, and a slim 8.2cm profile, Roborock's new robot vacuums are certainly enticing.

Roborock has showcased two new robot vacuums at IFA 2024, with the new Q Revo Curv and Q Revo Slim models.
The Q Revo Curv boasts 18,500 Pa of suction, alongside a FlexiArm side brush that uses centrifugal force to prevent hair from getting tangled while ensuring dust and dirt doesn't get trapped in edges and corners. The vacuum also has an AdaptiLift chassis that can independently adjust the three wheels to raise the vacuum up to 10cm for mid-to-long pile carpet cleaning, or up to 4cm to go over room thresholds.
The main brush in the Q Revo Curv is split into two parallel short bristle rollers with spiral blades to prevent hair from tangling and clogging up the machine. Back at the dock, the dual mops are washed with hot water at 75°C, which is even hotter than the Q Revo MaxV, to help remove oil stains and reduce bacteria on the mops.

The Q Revo Slim is designed for homes with plenty of low clearance areas, thanks to its 8.3cm frame that allows it to zip under sofas, beds and more. Due to the slim chassis, Roborock has used the new StarSight Autonomous System, which the company claims is an industry-first dual light solid-state LiDAR system that uses 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) to precisely map the surroundings.
With 3D sensors and an RGB camera for visual recognition, the Q Revo Slim is able to recognise 73 types of objects with improved small object avoidance. The vacuum also comes with other niceties like the FlexiArm side brush, hot water mop washing and all-rubber dual roller brushes.
Both robot vacuums come with docks that can automatically refill the water tank on the robot and empty the dust bin, as well as dry the mops and dock base to prevent mould growth.
