Following the introduction of the Plaud Note in Singapore earlier this year, the company has just launched its wearable AI note-taker, the Plaud NotePin. Compared to the Plaud Note, the NotePin is more compact, and Plaud says it was designed for highly mobile professionals who need to capture face-to-face conversations while on the go.

The NotePin, like the original Plaud Note, starts recording with a long press of a button and uses dual MEMS microphones to capture audio. After recording, it is stored locally, and users can upload the recording to the Plaud app or web platform for transcription and translation. It has 64GB of internal storage.

Within the Plaud application, users can access a variety of useful features, including an AI summary generator, a translation tool, and even a mind map generator that creates visual summaries based on the voice recording. To further support productivity, the NotePin also offers smart speaker labelling, which helps users identify who said what during group conversations. Weighing at 16.6g and measuring at just 51mm x 21mm x 11mm, the NotePin is roughly the size of a standard AA battery. Its compact size means it can be worn as a necklace, clip, or pin, allowing for hands-free recording in various settings. Despite its small footprint, the company says that the device offers up to 20 hours of continuous recording and 40 days of standby time. It charges via a charging dock with a Type-C cable.

Other features of the NotePin include support for “Find My” and idle-time cloud sync to automatically upload the recording files to the Plaud Private Cloud while charging.
